The following details the latest changes in Arabesk 4.0a as opposed to Version 4.0 (dated 06.06.07). Apart from the listed items, many smaller changes and improvements have been made, not necessarily listed separately.

- While editing a menu created with the Assistant, sometimes a button was displayed incorrectly. This is now fixed.

- Button texts are now positioned correctly (same height)

- Problem with displaying multi-line text is fixed

- Button texts now support spaces

- Changes in film and chapter names are copied correctly

- When reading older archives, the user is warned regarding any missing scenes

- Button borders are now compatible with translucent patterns

- IN and OUT points of moving scenes are handled correctly

- Rendering times for moving scenes partially improved

- When copying a DVD-Arabesk DVD, re-rendering the menu is no longer required

- Creating chapter menus with varying page layouts displays the right texts

- Menus in 16:9 are now displayed correctly in 4:3 Letterbox format

- Even after changing from a still to a moving scene, trimming is possible

- Prior to rendering, the Assistant now requests a DVD or asks if DVD-RW is to be deleted

- The activation colour for newly added buttons is the same as for previous buttons

- When starting a DVD, the intro/trailer starts first (if available), even if a chapter menu was created for it

- Fully translucent selection borders are possible (alpha=0), e.g. for "Easter eggs"
- Moving backgrounds now play synchronised sound after trimming
