Casablanca Liberty is MacroSystem’s first portable Casablanca System with built-in screen. This isn’t simply an LCD screen though, rather it is a touch-sensitive screen that allows the user to operate the device with the aid of a pen, controlling the Smart Edit interface directly on screen. Of course, it is also possible to use a Trackball, the built-in touchpad or the integrated keyboard – and yet operating the Casablanca Liberty via the pen makes for never before experienced speed and ease of use. Simply hold the device as you would a notepad in your arm and edit using a pen!
 
The accustomed professional and intuitive SmartEdit system software is at hand, making on-the-road DV und HDV editing dreams come true.
 
The built-in Intel ® Core Duo Processor paves the way for extremely fast work results on a par with our current Casablanca Renommee und Solitaire systems. The built-in hard-drive has a capacity of 80GB. And of course, the Liberty comes with a fast Double-Layer DVD burner. The Casablanca Liberty is built by Toshiba, which guarantees the best in product quality.

In addition to the usual Casablanca advantages, Liberty features a second operation mode: The Liberty can also be started running the Windows operating system, with all its functions of a modern computer. Upon starting the Liberty, you simply decide whether you wish to use SmartEdit or Windows. It’s basically two devices in one!
 
Despite this sheer abundance of functionality and power, the Liberty is extremely compact and handy device in everyday use (measurements: 29,5 x 24,9 x 3,9 cm (width, height, depth).  
 
The Casablanca Liberty will be available from December 2006.
