The Bluebox effect is part of the software included with every 20 GB hard-disk version of Casablanca Avio and with every Casablanca Prestige and Kron.

Because it is actually an additional product with Avio, it has to be unlocked before using it for the very first time. An explanation on how to do this can be found in the manual. Casablanca Avios with 20 GB hard-disks are shipped with the necessary code while users of the old 13 GB version have to order the needed code. To do this, you have to contact your Casablanca dealer and give him your Casablanca Avio's serial number.
This effect is included as standard with Prestige and Kron, no need to unlock it there.

What does a Bluebox effect do?

The BlueBox effect replaces a specified color part of the screen's image with another scene. For e.g.: A person standing in front of a blue wall could be made to stand in front of a scene you have previously recorded. The effect can be made to simply replace the blue color of the wall with a second scene. This way, you can achieve well-known TV effects such as having a presenter standing in front of a weather diagram/map.
