09/2004 MacroSystem releases new software product CBPaint

New business alliance with TVPaint formed

Wetter, Germany and Metz, France – 9th September 2004 - MacroSystem Digital Video AG, the worldwide leading company of standalone video editing systems, expands its award-winning Casablanca product range with the creative tool CBPaint.

Created by the renowned french programming team TVPaint, in cooperation with MacroSystem, the CBPaint software offers a wealth of functionality for graphics, video effects and design. It interfaces directly with the standard Casablanca SMART EDIT editing software, making for an import and export facility for pictures and video sequences. CBPaint is designed for video professionals who want to experience a whole new world of animations and visual effects.

The following are the most important features of CBPaint:

Real-Time Video Paint

The pixel-accurate paint system includes features such as animated brushes, multiple drawing and paint tools, filling, video tools and advanced text tools.

Animation System

The animation interface is layer-based, including powerful key framing and motion path tools. Professionals can therefore use an unlimited number of video layers.

Layer Manipulation

In a way, the layers are much like independent layers of glass. The CBPaint user can paint on top or behind a layer. A layer is capable of “influencing" another layer by using powerful keying effects or tools like four-point pixel tracking or two-point image stabilization. Moreover, the layer structure can be modified.

Color Correction

The software contains multiple colour- and image correction tools.

Effects

The CBPaint user can select from a huge number of video-effects like volumetric light, plasma effects, mirror and cloning, mosaic, warp-effects, to create stunning visual effects.

Thanks to its countless drawing functions, filters, style and colour tools, the timeline for creating individual sequences as well as its logically structured user-interface, CBPaint is an absolutely professional utility. Furthermore, the CBPaint package comes with a high-quality WACOM graphics tablet. The complete package will retail for € 999 in Germany.

In addition, MacroSystem Digital Video AG and TVPaint, Inc., developer of broadcast video paint production tools, today announced that they have formed a business alliance on the development of further software tools.

"We're very pleased to form this new alliance with TVPaint. CBPaint is a very exciting software tool for our Casablanca users worldwide. And we’re looking forward to further results of this cooperation," said Joerg Sprave, CEO at MacroSystem Digital Video AG in his statement.
