Windows PC mit Bogart

Hello

With the current setup on my PC I cannot use hardware accelerated rendering.

Would it be beneficial to upgrade the graphics card to one of nvidia gtx or perhaps a rtx card ?
I really don't know this.

Here are the current specs:

AMD Firepro 7900
CPU Intel Xeon 1650

Also a question, can it be that Bogart only runs in 32bit ?
Is there a 64bit version ?

Editing primarily on PC with combination of Bogart for Windows and Sony Vegas Pro.

The 7 year old Intel Xeon E5-1650 is a server processor that was built for a high amount of RAM and management of multiply external user access. But it was not built for video editing and has no integrated video graphic acceleration :!:

Bogart 7 minimum system specifications request an active Intel HD graphic from i5/i7 processors of the 4th generation or higher since 2014.

Adding an NVidia 1050/1060/1080 with NVENC support may speed up Arabesk Blu-ray encoding and H.265/HEVC encoding, but will not add Intel HD Graphic for smoother playback and other hardware acceleration.

The first Casablanca-4 systems came three years after the Xeon E5-1650 with an i7-4790 CPU and integrated video acceleration hardware.

As for the 32 / 64 bit .... BogartSE is a 32 Bit application, able to address ~ 4GB of RAM. To address more RAM - a 64 Bit software would be needed. But since BogartSE's roots go back to 1997 and an Amiga OS with just 16 MB RAM, the code is highly optimized. BogartSE uses just about 0,5 GB of RAM when rendering video effects with 2x UHD 50p videostreams. So there is no need for BogartESE to double it's code, just to run in 64 Bit mode.

Auch wenn Festplatten gegenüber optischen Medien die einfachste und preiswerteste Sicherung darstellen: Es ist nie fraglich ob eine Festplatte mal ausfällt - sondern wann :!:

(siehe Google Studie ). So hart es klingen mag: ungesicherte Daten sind unwichtige Daten :!:

Bei Festplatten Struktur-Fehlern hilft eine Neuinstallation, bei Hardware-Defekten nur noch teure Datenrettungs-Dienstleister .

Used system are rare, but sometimes offered on eBay or here in the Forum.

Sometimes there are trade-in offers from MacroMotion, mostly in spring and/or autumn. But there is never any prior information about any special offer until it is launched.
