1.9 (Avio/Kron)	MPEG Projects can now be converted into DV data in the "Finish" menu and played digitally out via the firewire port (only Avio-DV and Kron). Additionally, the created DV data can be copied (using the clipboard) into a DV Direct project (Avio requires Pro-Pack for this feature). Recording projects to DV is now only possible if all material is rendered (created). Additionally, smaller problems have been solved.
1.8c (Kron)	Supports all modern types of SmartMedia Cards. To be sure that all SmartMedia Cards are supported by your system, please install 1.8c (Kron) or 1.8a (Avio).
1.8a	Supports all modern types of SmartMedia Cards (Avio). Time-mode record fixed. The duration of a transition effect remains on the set time after you quit the time setting menu with the button "Cancel". Better support of various DV devices such as Sony TRV-900 E, Canon XM & XL 1,... Audio tracks can be inserted when they are longer than the storyboard - the end of the track can be trimmed when you insert a new scene. Transition effect "ZI Page Turn" is available again with the Avio Pro-Packet. Various bug fixes for the improvement of the total system stability.
1.8	It is now possible to record both digital (using i-Link) and analogue (using composite or YC) material in Direct-DV projects. Output is also available using digital and analogue connectors. Playback of scenes or Storyboard can be paused using a pause button. When selecting a type in the image pool, the system now displays the number of available images. It is also possible to mirror images so that add-on programs can use the mirrored images too. The effect menus now contain an additional info button. Currently, only some software products support this feature. Features some smaller improvements and fixes some software problems. Version 1.8 can be installed as an update on top of older software versions (at least V1.3) required SmartMedia: Avio 4 MB, Kron 8 MB, Avio (east-europe) 8 MB
1.7	While recording, Casablanca now detects a bad or missing signal. Recording can stop, create a scene and then may continue automatically, if the signal is not too bad. This eliminates bad frames which could result into problems during editing later. The title effect screen now includes an info button. So you can get a short description on every effect (online manual). Currently this is only possible with the optional Title Effect Pack. Twister can be connected directly to Casablanca Avio or Kron. There is no need for additional software or a license-code. The Avio Pro-Pack software is now included with 1.7, no need for additional software on smart-media, but you still must get (buy) the license-code from your dealer. minor bug-fixes and improvements required SmartMedia: Avio 4 MB, Kron 8 MB, Avio (east-europe) 8 MB

1.5 e (Kron)	Removed problems (freezing) using the i-Link interface during record and playback. The problems only occurred with PAL versions of Kron, not with Avio. Fixed a bug in the transition effect "Stripe Fade".
1.5 d (Kron) / 1.5 e (Avio)	This version fixes several bugs with audio input via i-Link on the NTSC version (both channels available with 16 bit, removed "crackles", ...). Improved audio quality with audio input via i-Link. Several other minor problems have been fixed.
1.5	new functions and bug-fixes For Avio there is an installation "1.5a", which fixes a minor installation problem. The software itself remained unchanged. There is no need to upgrade from 1.5 to 1.5a if an installation was possible.
1.4 b (PAL) / 1.4 c (NTSC)	fix of some problems with DV-data-transfer version numbers of Avio and Kron adjusted Older Avio machines require a memory upgrade from this version on.
Avio

1.4	This software fixes some bugs of version 1.3. Version 1.4 requires 64 MByte RAM to be installed (Avio-DV or Avio with memory-expansion).
1.3	Specifically and ONLY for Casablanca Avio units with the i.Link option, a new version of the Casablanca software is now available. IMPORTANT: Do not install this update on Casablanca Avios without DV option! It is not compatible!
